Conflicts – local and global – are going to determine the present and the future of the world politics. Such a prediction was made by the writers of the Munich Security Report published before the Munich Security Conference in February.  However, as oppose to the Cold War collisions, these conflicts will resemble more closely the world confrontation of the 19th – beginning of the 20th centuries.

Last week the date of the presidential election was announced. It will be held on November 19 2017. Despite the constitutional reform that will strengthen the powers of the prime minister and the parliament, a presidential seat still remains the most prestigious one in Kyrgyzstan, especially since a decrease in powers means a decrease in responsibilities, and the presidential term is long enough to fully enjoy being on the top.

It is an almost 300 page document. Mostly, it concentrates on the Kazakhgate investigation or, to be precise, on the obstacles set on the way of those conducting it – the US authorities in collaboration with the European secret service.
